Your wedding is a once in a lifetime event and I want to make sure that the music and entertainment lives up to and exceeds your expectations! For each Wedding I work with my couples to put together a completely customized playlist & timeline to their specific taste.
The Wedding Playlist Made Easy In The Cloud
To do this I use one of my most coveted pieces of equipment, a collection of years of effort, that I simply call, "Our Wedding Planner". Having it's birth as a few playlists that shortly turned into a bounded brochure, it's soul purpose is making song & timeline planning as fun as possible. I'm happy to offer my couples a completely digital planning solution, filled with multiple song ideas for every part of the celebration.
My Wedding Planning Process
Step 1 - An In Person Meet & Greet with the future Bride & Groom
I think it's important for a couple to not only get to know their DJ, but for a DJ to get to know their couple as well. This is the reason why I always advise an in person meet & greet before the planning begins, even in situations where the couple has already decided to book. I use this time to gather some preliminary information on the big day, ensure that I fully understand the couples expectations, and do a quick overview of all my planning materials.
Step 2 - Our Wedding Planner Digital Delivery
After being officially booked and receiving the down-payment, I will then send out all of the required planning materials to the couple. This will include the Info Sheet that we filled out at the Meet & Greet as well as my "Our Wedding Planner." If the couple chooses to bring the contract and deposit with them, I actually send all of this out at the Meet & Greet, as I fill in the Info Sheet on my iPad.
Step 3 - A Collaborative Planning Effort
From there, my couples often follow the guidelines laid out in their Wedding Planner and begin the song selection for their big day. I'm available to my couples by email, phone, or text throughout the entire time. Making sure that their special day has the perfect playlist with the songs that really capture the emotion of the celebration creating the perfect atmosphere is my number one priority!
Using their Wedding Planner, the chosen songs will then be incorporated into a Timeline that will be used to set in motion the events of the day. This timeline will include not only the time of the event, but also any applicable information, such as, (songs to be played, announcements to be made, or special notes to remember). On the day of the event, I will provide copies of the Timeline to the Venue Coordinator & Photographer to ensure that everyone is on the same page.
Step 4 - Final Checks
As the planning process comes to an end in the weeks before the Wedding, we move towards final checks. The couple will send me their final song list, timeline, & payment, as laid out in their Wedding Planner & Contract. I will review all the information to ensure everything is complete and check in once again with the Venue to make sure I have all the necessary information I need. From there, the excitement builds to an all time high, as we count down the days until the Wedding!
